A large coronal hole is now directly facing Earth, and we may see a G2 / moderate geomagnetic storm this weekend. NOAA SWPC have issued a G2 / Kp 6 watch for April 17-18. Mid-latitude auroral displays are possible. Keep an eye on real-time data to track auroral visibility reliably.
